We’re reaching out to you on behalf of Arthouse. As you’re probably aware, being the artsy and culturally aware people that you are, the roots of Arthouse reach back 98 years; it is the oldest statewide contemporary visual arts organization in Texas. Next month, Arthouse will reveal a stunning renovation and expansion of the Jones Center (7th and Congress).  And do we have a deal for you!

Collectively, we’re on a committee for Arthouse’s big October 22 opening night celebration. Not the $1,000 dinner part of the evening.  Frankly, our friends don’t have that kind of money and Arthouse knows it. We’re just charged with selling $125 tickets to the 10pm afterparty. We’re saving you $875 right there. But allow us to sell you the $125 tickets with our own specially branded bonus: what we’re calling Project Emerald. (We know you’re thinking Wizard Of Oz, but trust us, Project Dorothy is something different- the Urban Dictionary entry is NSFW).

So what’s Project Emerald?

Arthouse’s  new exterior features 177 glowing bricks beautifully illuminated by emerald green LED’s.  And we’d like you to put your name on one of them.  It’s like the International Star Registry, only we’re selling you the naming rights to a brick you can actually see- and in some cases, touch (some of them are too high…you’ll need a forklift and special permission to touch those).

One ticket and one brick = Naming Rights. Forever.

Ask yourself this: Why should the Moody family own the naming rights to everything? And we don’t mean James Moody, We mean the REALLY rich Moodys. Speaking of Moody, check the attached picture of him and Andy Langer basking in the glow of their very own Project Emerald bricks.

They look like happy people in that photo. You could be happy too. The green glow emanating off your brick will mirror the glow of your heart high on philanthropy. Each time you drive down Congress you’ll be able to show your loved ones the brick you named after yourself.

Again, we ask you to ask yourself a question: Will $125 in Whole Foods groceries provide the lifetime of satisfaction I’m going to get from my own Arthouse brick?

Like The International Star Registry, our resources are limited. We have just 177 bricks to sell the naming rights to. When they’re gone, they’re gone forever.  We’re simply not the kind of people who will try to resell the naming rights to your brick the next time we’re asked to be on a committee.

Again, if you buy from us and act quickly, $125 will get you a ticket to the afterparty and your own exclusive star. Please note that in an effort to keep the building’s facade clutter-free and as part of our own environmental initiative, we won’t be able to put up physical plaques dedicating your star or print certificates declaring your star ownership. You’ll know. We’ll know. And that’s enough, isn’t it?

The party is October 22. Tickets will be available at http://www.thenewarthouse.org. Do us a favor and tell them one of us convinced you to buy the ticket. But keep Project Emerald between us? That Project Emerald is a Black Opp makes it more fun for everybody. You’ll know you own a brick. And we’ll know. And that’s all that matters.
